This is my 15th pr of Top Siders and 2nd pr of Gold Cups. I've purchased 2 pr of Billfish in the past and recently purchased the Billfish Gold Cup. OMG, you won't be disappointed wearing these shoes...they are very nice...even though they're made in China.
 problems with sole separation Jun 13, 2010
Sperry used to make pretty good boat shoes. Not the longest lasting but comfortable and they worked. I bought a pair of the Billfish to have a boat shoe with more cushioning when jumping down to the dock or into the cockpit and these seemed to fit the bill. They are not the most comfortable boat shoe I have worn but OK if you wear socks.
The soles on the boat shoes came apart and I had not thought a lot about it until I did some research and found that my experience was far from unique. I contacted the retailer and neither they nor evidently Sperry would make good on the problem shoes. I am going to replace mine with something from Timberland, Dunham, Sebago, anyone but Sperry.

Very Comfortable Dec 09, 2009
I was a little reluctant to order shoes online, not having tried them on before. I currently own several other pairs of Sperry's so I felt a little more confident. These shoes were well worth the price paid! I shopped around and was able to find a 15% discount. The Gold Cup collection is the way to go and I'd buy them again.

I'm an every-day quality boat shoe wearer, and these Sperrys are the best I've ever had.
