5A ridiculously good deal  May 11, 2010
I ordered this boat last week; it arrived last Thursday (May 6) the next day. Free shipping! I signed up for the trial Amazon Prime thing that gives you free two-day shipping. I guess this was supposed to come in 2 days but I was lucky and it came in only one day. You can do this, then cancel the trial membership if you don't want to pay later. Anyway, the boat. I ordered the 12' Fish Hunter. All the reviews said the "4 person" was way too small, barely big enough for 2 people. I don't know what that's like, but the 12' model I have is definitely big enough for 2, and maybe 3 if the third person would sit on the side, or was a child. I bought this boat for fishing, and I took it out today for the first time. It took about 30 minutes to inflate with a 12v pump, but only because I had some trouble with one of the nozzles. If the pump had been working correctly it would have probably taken only 15 minutes.

Once inflated, the boat was very rigid and stable. I stood up in it several times to cast. I caught 2 largemouth bass, fishing with a fly rod. I released them but if you were going to keep the fish you catch, there's plenty of room for an ice chest, and a cooler of beer, and anything else you might want to bring with you. This boat is a really good choice for a fisherman who either can't afford a bass boat or doesn't have the space to store it.

I rowed the boat with oars - it kind of took a long time that way, but that is more the fault of my crappy oars than anything else. If you bought a good pair of oars, it would be faster. I'm planning on mounting a Minn Kota motor on this in a few weeks so I didn't bother getting a better set of oars. When you're done, the boat can deflate fairly quickly (you can unscrew the Boston valves, although two of the valves have to be pinched - the conventional type.) It folds up to about the size of a large sleeping bag. It will fit in the backseat of a car.

For 180 dollars this boat is an insanely good bargain. It's made out of extremely thick, heavy, durable vinyl. The green and yellow colors are very appealing - sort of like the John Deere color scheme, although the green is darker. It's like the Oakland A's colors. An attractive young woman in a kayak complimented me on the boat, saying that it looked cool. I think it does look pretty cool.

So, in conclusion - Sevylor rocks, buy this boat.

5Great Value for the Land-locked Angler  May 10, 2010
This boat is a great value for anyone wanting to get off the shore, and out to where the fish are. Perfect for the person (like me) who does not have the room for a full sized boat. The 12' model is quite large, with enough room for 2 adults and light gear. The PVC material is very heavy, this is no pool toy at all. Inflation can be a chore, so be prepared. I have a Coleman High Performance Rechargeable Pump - Red/ Grey to get the chambers filled up most of the way, the use a Coleman Large Dual Action Hand Pump to finish it off. It will take between 15 and 30 min to inflate properly, depending on how much help you have. I recommend purchasing the Sevylor Boat Boot for U222/HF360; the extra layer of protection is nice. The boot also makes the HF360 even more ridged, which is nice.

Great boat for the family, we love it.

512' Fish Hunter  May 08, 2010
I have owned this boat for two years and it has been great.
My wife & I have been fishing on three reservoirs and it has been enjoyable, the boat is very stable
boat is a little hard to paddle against the wind so I purchase small electric motor and it work great
we can go just about anywhere. This boat is great for two or three people and fishing tackle and still
have room to move & fish. It store in corner of coat closet when not in use.
I recommend the 12' Fish Hunter for any one who cant own a regular boat & trailer.

24-person boat?  May 01, 2010
This was advertised as a 4-person boat so I figured there would be plenty of room for my husband and me to go fishing in it. I've been in bathtubs bigger than this, and I'm not talking about the spa or garden tubs. Just because it can hold the weight of four people doesn't mean that many could fit in it. The only way four people could fit in this boat would be if two were floating on the outside and the other two were under 10 years old. Neither one of us are tall but I was scrunched up and practically eating my knees. It was unstable, too. Although my husband did say it was fine for one person. Total waste of money.

4Great buy for the bank-bound fisherman  Feb 24, 2010
I bought this boat while I was deployed to Iraq last year. My wife and I didn't have a boat and we wanted to fish away from the bank a little bit so I bought this (12' version), oars and the coleman 12 volt rechargeable pump.

My wife would inflate it and take pictures of it. I went home on leave and we took it out about half a dozen times and had a great time with it.

You need to be careful with hooks and knifes but the material is pretty strong. We scooted over rocks and trees with no problem but if you are the type to really abuse this maybe the cover would be a good investment.

On our last trip my wife accidentally hooked the side of the boat causing a small leak. The repair kit that came with the boat fixed it up good as new and we have not had a problem since.

I am going to list this on ebay and try to get 100-150$ for the boat, oars and pump, everything you need to get off the bank. If you are like me, unable to keep a real boat and considering the world of inflatables AND don't have the money to drop on a super expensive model I believe this will meet your needs.
